We had 26 juniors attending this clinic from Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina and Florida.
Once again, off the water it was easy to see that friendships were being developed which in itself is priceless. This event was a great success.
I have a lot of people to thank for making the 2018 Spring Basic Skills Clinic a popular event. I would like to start with Jack and Lelani Travers for once again lending us their facility and three boats full of gas. This is the second time they have given the Federation total support in every way possible.
I would also like to recognize the coaches and boat drivers who volunteered their time and skills to our junior skiers.
Scott Ellis coached 100% of the jumpers for the second year running with Joe Luzoro driving.
Anna and Russell Gay coached tricks in the morning with Dan Abrescia driving.
Kevin Jack coached tricks in the afternoon with yours truly driving.
K.C. Wilson coached slalom in the morning with Gordon West as the driver.
Nate Smith coached slalom in the afternoon with both Dan and me as drivers.
My daughter Nicole Pauley, with help from Jan & Ed Kremers and Jewel Baxter prepped and served a delicious hot lunch for everyone.
Greg Pauley took pictures of the entire event…GREAT JOB!
Bill Porter of Performance Ski & Surf in Orlando, FL. donated the T-Shirts; please take a moment to thank him the next time you are in his store.
Troy Baxter will be replacing me as the new Florida Federation Youth Development Director. I will be helping Troy with the next clinic; we will try to find a date closely following the Nationals. Contact Troy @ TroyeBaxter@GMail.Com or call 813-309-9073 to secure your spot on the list.
From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank you so very much for everyone’s support of the Federation Clinics. Our Three Event Sport grew last year, let’s keep it going!
