Al “Butch” Rosenberg of Port St Lucie was a show skier, competitor, and the designer of the first flat kite made in the United States as we know today. A pioneer in perfecting the double wake cut, he held the jumping record (98 feet, 103 feet and 125 feet) three different times. The 125-foot record leap at the 1955 Nationals is one of the major milestones of water skiing. He has retired from competitive water skiing. (Deceased)
