Janet and Dick Kreeger

Inducted into the Florida Water Ski Federation Hall of Fame 2006

Janet and Dick Kreeger of Coral Springs are true volunteers. They have stayed involved in water skiing even though their kids went off to college more than 20 years ago. They love the sport for what it is and the people who are involved in it. Janet is a top registrar. She has worked on many local, state, regional and national events and the Masters. She is the first one there in the morning and last to leave. She will pitch in with whatever needs to be done from hospitality to digging a ditch. There isn’t a job that she hasn’t volunteered for. Dick has been the person that the Ski Club of the Palm Beaches most goes to for help with technical things at tournaments. He has done the video setup for many years for record tournaments, state, regional and national events. He takes most any challenge given to him and has helped the club understand the technical needs of our tournaments. With a shortage of technical controllers, the ski club has had to become self-sufficient in setting up the tournament so that the technical person can arrive Saturday morning just like all other officials. They belong to two ski clubs – Gold Coast Ski Club of Fort Lauderdale and the Ski Club of the Palm Beaches. They are very active in both clubs, but have been officers of Gold Coast for more than 20 years. They helped in the finding and setting up of the Mills Pond Park site in Fort Lauderdale. Dick received the National Technical Controllers Award at the 2005 Water Ski National Championships. They continue to serve the sport in many capacities.
