J.D. Morgan

American Water Ski Educational Foundation Award of Distinction 1993

Inducted into the Florida Water Ski Federation Hall of Fame 2003

J.D. Morgan of Lake Wales was one of the most prolific winners of water ski events in the older age divisions. He took time out of his medical practice, first in the Navy and later privately, to hold his own among the best of the seniors and also to coach his sons, Mike and Zack, in the fine points of competition. Morgan represented the U.S. in the first Senior World Championships in 1983 and again in 1984. He has retired from competition, but stays active as a trustee and is a former president of the American Water Ski Educational Foundation.
