Jeannette Brown

Jeannette Brown of Tampa was one-half of the famous U.S. “Youth Movement” at the 1963 Water Ski World Championships in Vichy, France. In the same tournament at the age of 16, two years older than her male counterpart, Billy Spencer, Jeannette won the world slalom and overall titles. Her winning ways in the world tournament were indicative of Jeannette’s brief competitive career. She has a bachelor’s degree in art history, a master’s degree in counseling psychology and is studying for a PhD in clinical psychology. She has retired from competitive water skiing.
