Inducted into the Florida Water Ski Federation Hall of Fame 2005

Lucille Borgen of Babson Park and now residing in Baja, California was an active tournament water skier from the time she entered the Ohio State Championships in 1959 at the age of 46 until age 92. She currently holds the American Water Ski Association national record in Women 10 and 11 slalom and Women 8 and 9 jumping. She moved to Florida at an early age (for her) and continued to ski in tournaments into her early ‘90s. She would be the dock starter, boat judge, shore judge or anything else in order to make a tournament work. She truly gave back to the sport each day. She has retired from competitive water skiing.
