Walter May

Inducted into the Florida Water Ski Federation Hall of Fame 2004

Walter May of Deltona started tournament driving in 1978 working tournaments throughout the South. He drove for more than 50 U.S. national records, for more than 20 collegiate records and drove for 21 world records. He was a member of the MasterCraft promotional team for 22 years (1978-2000) and also served as the MasterCraft Southern Region Coordinator for 20 years (1980-2000). He was also very active in collegiate tournaments for more than 15 years and was a boat driver for the Collegiate Nationals numerous times. He was a driver for the Disabled Nationals many times and also served as the chief driver numerous times. He also served as the chief driver for the Disabled Worlds. He also served as the president of the Florida Water Ski Federation for several years. He retired as a boat driver in 2001.
