Record Setting Weekend At 2021 Florida State Championships

The skiing at the 2021 Florida State Championships presented by Ski Fluid and Action Water Sports and sponsored by Syndicate this past weekend produced many record setting performances and personal bests for the competitors. Our thanks to Kyle Eade and the members of the Ski Fluid Water Ski Club, for hosting a great tournament.

We had records set this past weekend by our competitors in several age divisions, but there were many PB’s set by our up and coming younger skiers:

Boys 4 Trick – Erick Macias-Sedan shattered the trick record he set in 2020 with a score of 8150, with a new record setting performance of 9660 points.

Men 6 Slalom – Tim Huston smashed the M6 slalom record held by Louis Alcamo and Mark Needham with a score of 3 buoys at 55kph on a 11.25m line with a record scoring performance of 1.5 buoys at 55kph on the 10.75m line.

Men 9 Jump – Dennis Longo established the new M9 Jump record with a score of 40’/12.3m @ 42kph/5.0’ ramp.

Master Women Slalom – Patricia Burt tied her Master Women record slalom score set in 2017 with a score of 4 buoys at 55kph on the 12m line.

Congratulations to all of these new record setters and to all of you that set new personal best performances, great job!
